Getting started
Create your community and add a server
From Steam sign-in to your first server followed live, in a few minutes.
Sign in and create the community
The panel signs in with Steam: no password to remember. On your first visit, create your community (its name and its address). It starts on the free plan, with one server.
If someone invited you, their invitation is waiting when you sign in: there is nothing to create.
Add the WARDOGS server
Denhold talks to your server through its RCON API. You need the values from the RCON section of its configuration:
- the host or IP address of the server;
- the RCON port;
- the protocol (https if the server allows it: over http to a public address, the password travels in clear text);
- the RCON password, encrypted by Denhold and never shown again.
Denhold tests the connection before saving anything. Once the server is added, it polls it every few seconds: the dashboard shows players, map and scores live.
The RCON API restarts a round, never the server process: a full restart (to apply some settings) is always done at your host.
